lying barbell french pressStarting position – lying on the horizontal bar. Grif rod to take grip on top of the lines, vertically raised hand:

– Inhale and bend your elbows, not pushing your elbows too wide to be able to lower the bar to the level of the forehead or behind the head;

– At the end of the movement to exhale.

Embodiments of the exercise – the French press lying barbell:

  1. Grief rod falls to his forehead: primarily involved in the medial and lateral heads of the triceps,
  2. Grief rods lowered his head: involved mainly the long head of the triceps.

Extension barbell lying – option simulator

Special simulator facilitates the movement and makes it easier to concentrate on running long head of the triceps.

Note: given the different morphology (shoulder width, expressed valgus position of the elbows, wrists flexibility), the distance between the brushes used in more narrow, and between the elbows – wider. Using a rod with a curved neck does not disturb the joints of the wrist.

When: In the second half of the workout. The first workout for triceps. After extension barbell lying perform barbell bench narrow grip, lying on the bench and triceps push-back against the bench.

How much: 3-4 sets of 8-15 reps on.
